Welcome to ​Anxiety Management Hub, also known as AMH Psychology.

At AMH Psychology, we provide both Telehealth and In-Person therapeutic services to individuals living in Melbourne and beyond. Our clinician specialises in a range of evidence-based psychotherapy modalities, including: 1) Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing Therapy (EMDR): A highly effective approach for neutralising trauma memories; 2) Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT): One of the most well-researched evidence-based therapies; and 3) Intensive Short-Term Dynamic Psychotherapy (ISTDP): A powerful, insight-based therapy that has demonstrated longer-lasting benefits compared to CBT, even at five years post-treatment.

Our passion is helping people overcome OCD, anxiety and stress related challenges. We work across the spectrum of clinical severity, from mild symptoms to severe and chronic presentations. We are confident in supporting individuals on their journeys to reclaim their original functionality and independence, including those who are currently house/room-bound due to significant OCD and anxiety symptoms.

We are also dedicated to supporting individuals on their path to self-improvement and personal growth. This includes early- and mid-career professionals, as well as parents adjusting to the inherent challenges of raising young children. Many of our clients come from diverse fields, such as healthcare, engineering, entrepreneurship and leadership roles, where the pressures of personal and professional demands can feel overwhelming. Whilst these challenges may be very common, situational, and non-clinical, we understand the struggles are real, and we are here to help. ​

Meet Your Clinical Psychologist
Dr Hana Guo
Clinical Psychologist
Dr Hana Guo is the director of Anxiety Management Hub Melbourne, AMH Psychology. Hana is a dedicated Clinical Psychologist and a board approved supervisor. She has worked across varies settings in Australia and overseas since 2008. Currently, Hana is completing her third and final year of post-doctoral ISTDP training. ISTDP is a powerful form of Psychodynamic Psychotherapy, which helps unveil the subconscious psychological defenses that may be holding you back from living a happy fulfilling life. Along with her training in CBT and EMDR, Hana provides support to individuals from Melbourne and beyond.

Her passion in working with anxiety disorders, particularly Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD) began in her clinical Masters training, where she researched the underlying contributing factors of OCD symptoms. No obsessive thought, mental image or compulsions are too unique, too bizarre or too taboo for Hana.
​
Hana later went on to complete a Doctorate in Clinical Psychology where her clinical interest extended to stress-related disorders. Hana's doctorate dissertation examined the factors underlying symptoms of Post-traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) which was published in Neuropsychology, see X.Guo et al. (2017).
​Authentic, warm, attentive and non-judgemental, Hana provides a safe space and gentle challenges in therapy which promote insight and growth. Most clients come weekly or fortnightly and many choose to stay on for years after attaining their initial therapy goals for ongoing personal wellbeing and development. It is a great honour for Hana to bear witness to people's most vulnerable moments as well as their breakthroughs and triumphs in life.
